CelebNSports247.com has the latest injury report on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who is expected to miss four to six weeks following knee surgery.

ESPN reports:

Ben underwent surgery in his left knee for a torn meniscus, and the surgeon has given a 4-6 week timetable for his return.

Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

“Doc says my knee looked good, but there still was some stuff in there from when I had my bone bruise last season in St. Louis. He said that might keep me out a little longer than just a simple meniscus tear. Maybe an extra week or so. But, there’s no way to put an exact timetable on it. It all depends on my pain and how I feel.”

Ben suffered the injury during Pittsburgh’s loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday’s game. He did finish out the game, despite the injury.

While Ben is out, Landry Jones will replace him on the field starting Sunday (Oct. 23) against the Patriots.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin won’t be on the field anytime soon!

On Wednesday, Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter said that Martin, who has been out since Week 2 with a hamstring injury, suffered a setback. Now his recovery and has no timetable to return, per Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.

LBS reports:

The news is particularly disappointing with the Bucs just coming off their Week 6 bye. Martin, the two-time Pro Bowler, was only expected to miss three weeks when the injury initially occurred, but that’s seeming like a distant memory now.

With backup Charles Sims on injured reserve with a knee injury as well, former fifth-round pick Jacquizz Rodgers appears to be in line for all the backfield touches he can handle in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers and possibly beyond.
