Cam Newton Apologizes for Sexist Comment

Earlier this week, Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton found himself in a pickle after he basically made a sexist comment to a female reporter.

Of course, she CLAPPED BACK along with hundreds of women on social media who were offended despite her racist comments that she tweeted before questioning Cam Newton. Read on…

Cam Newton Apologizes for Sexist Comment has the latest since Cam Newton put his foot in his mouth on Wednesday stating how funny it was to hear a female talking about routes.

If you recall, Jourdan Rodrigue wanted to know how Cam Newton felt about one of his receivers getting better in his route running, especially after the team pulled off a huge win against New England.

Cam found himself in trouble with female fans everywhere and then his endorsement deal with Dannon Yogurt, who announced on Thursday that they’ve fired the Carolina Panthers QB.

The Oikos Greek Yogurt brand released this statement:

“We are shocked and disheartened at the behavior and comments of Cam Newton towards Jourdan Rodrigue, which we perceive as sexist and disparaging to all women. It is entirely inconsistent with our commitment to fostering equality and inclusion in every workplace. It’s simply not OK to belittle anyone based on gender. We have shared our concerns with Cam and will no longer work with him.”

The sad part about this is that Newton has worked with Oikos for years. Maybe John Stamos will get his chance with them now since they bumped him for Newton?

Here is Cam’s most recent commercial with Dannon:

Fast forward to today, Cam Newton is straight-up apologizing for the comment he made to Jourdan Rodrigue:

In the vid, Cam goes on to say he sincerely apologizes to anyone who was offended … and that it wasn’t his intention to do so. He even made a plea to young fans of his to be better than him and to do better than him. It’s a serving of humble pie at its finest … but we’ll let Cam speak for himself.

Cam says that he realizes that the joke is on him since he’s lost endorsements, fans and respect of females. He stresses to the younger generation “don’t be like me…be better than me!”

It appears Newton has learned his lesson, but it came with a cost.
