The 28-year-old San Antonio Spurs player went to the song’s creator himself to figure out his feelings after the Raptors traded him….
CelebNSports247.com has this report on the now ex-Toronto superstar DeMar DeRozan revealed one of the first people he confided in after the Raptors sent him packing to Texas was Drake.
According to DeMar DeRozan, he revealed “The day it came out” (the news about him being traded), “I went to Drake’s house.”
He told ESPN that he sat with the 6 God to get his mind right:
Sat and talked for a couple hours, man. Not even on the hoops stuff, just my partner. Just to hear the words that come from him being the person that he is in this world, especially in Toronto. What I meant to the city — it was what I needed.
Drake’s one of the Raptors’ biggest fans … and he took the DeRozan news tough too.
The OVO rapper took to Instagram posting a message to DeMar saying:
Thank you for being an incredible captain and an even better friend.
Sound like DeMar has a lifelong friend in Drake.
