Dennis Rodman: Nobody Ever Asked How Magic Contracted HIV

While speaking to Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee, the trio brought up how Michael Jordan never thought that Dennis Rodman would see age 40.

Dennis Rodman quickly replied, “I’m 58-years-old and I’m still here, so there you go.” In one of the most interesting interviews Rodman touched on multiple topics, from Modonna, hip hop, the NBA and Magic Johnson. Read on…

Charlamagne Tha God was quick to pick that up like CelebNSports247.com who wanted to know more thoughts by Dennis Rodman, so he enlightened us all.

Dennis Rodman then took the bait and segwayed into his views on Magic Johnson and how nobody ever asked or inquired on how the Lakers star contracted HIV.

He recalled on how it was “f–ked up” to watch Magic and Isiah Washington go across half court and kiss.  He said that is was accepted because they were close friends.

If you recall, it was after a physical before the 1991–92 NBA season, Magic Johnson discovered that he had tested positive for HIV. The news shook the sports world and everyone was talking about it, but nobody asked the one question.

How did Magic Johnson get HIV? Did he know who it was? Was it a female who gave it to him? Or did Magic have a secret side to him no one knows about?

Dennis Rodman touches on at that time it was acceptable when Magic and Isiah Washington kissed on the court.

Rodman says that the media steer clear about speaking on Magic Johnson and how he got HIV back in the day. However, he also touched on if that was today, he’d have women coming out of the woodworks pressing charges and releasing videos.

The reason why Magic never had any repercussions from his diagnoses is that the NBA protected the players back then. And Magic was one of the more important players so the NBA was looking out for him.

Dennis points out that even today that Magic still won’t reveal how he contracted the disease. Then the former Bulls player said he thinks that it probably happened at one of those Hawaii parties. He had been to those and suggested they were beyond.
