CelebNSports247.com has the latest from Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid who has another quarterback in mind that can take over if Newton can’t get back to action.

After the game, the veteran safety told reporters that his former 49ers teammate Colin Kaepernick could “come in and help us” if Newton is seriously injured.

Eric Reid says IF Cam is hurt badly, Kaepernick could and should definitely “come in and help us.” Again, he stressed the IF and said he hoped Cam was fine.

Kaepernick has not played in the NFL since the 2016 season, when he began kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial inequality and police brutality.

Colin is definitely ready, as he stated on twitter with a video showing his workout routine and dedication to training ata high level.

This would really shut up a lot of people since the Jay Z/NFL partnership where Jay made it clear this was NOT about hiring Kaepernick back into the fold.

We would love to see this, sport reporters and Trump wouldn’t know what t do. They’d all piss their pants if Colin Kaepernick was Cam Newton’s backup quarterback. But lets be real it would be a hostory making move. Kaep is READY. Let’s do it Panthers.
