CelebNSports247.com has the latest details on the Dallas Cowboys’ success in 2016, thanks to Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott.

This week Elliott and Prescott became the first rookie quarterback-running back teammates to be named to the Pro Bowl since the 1970 merger. Prescott and Elliott have to be the top candidates for Rookie of the Year. They also have to be at the top of the conversation when it comes to the Most Valuable Player.

Cowboys owner + GE weighs in on The Cowboys rookie saviors, Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott:

The Cowboys’ owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, says:

“I wouldn’t get into that. They’re both mine. I just think it’s such a great thing, not only for the Cowboys but the NFL. We’re rewarded. They’re creating enthusiasm.”

Enthusiasm for Cowboys fans, and perhaps anxiety for the rest of the NFC East, knowing they will have to contend with the duo for years to come.

The Cowboys knew Elliott would play a major role in their success when they took him with the fourth overall pick.

Jones adds:

“Zeke is as advertised and just better than advertised for us to pick him where we picked him,”

Elliott leads the NFL in rushing, with 1,551 yards. He needs 258 yards to break Eric Dickerson’s single-season rookie rushing record. He has set the Cowboys’ record for most yards and rushing touchdowns (13) by a rookie. Elliott has also brought a mixed attitude of toughness and fun that fits perfectly into how the Cowboys practice and play.

Jerry Jones had this to say Dak Prescott:

Jones concludes:

“What you saw Zeke do is something, in his own way, he has that kind of energy. He’s like a young puppy. He’s like that around the team, and everyone just loves the way he has a zest for life. He really keeps it interesting. You’ve got to have some of that in a rough, physical environment.”

As for, Dak Prescott, Jones said:

“Dak, uh-huh, you didn’t see that. Certainly didn’t see it at this level this early. His No. 1 quality was his leadership, was his aura, the ‘it’ factor that came with him.”

Jones had this to say:

“Every time anybody mentioned his name [it was] the ‘it’ factor. When we went to the Senior Bowl, the [Jaguars] coaches, they talked about the ‘it’ factor. They said he’s got it. And so [Cowboys offensive coordinator Scott Linehan] stood up in the draft room and just said, ‘Man, I can coach this kid.’ He’s contagious.”

He concludes:

“I’m hard-pressed to see anybody that meant more to their team that’s having success than those two have been to this team, the Dallas Cowboys. I’d be hard-pressed to find another name.”
