The former Warriors center Festus Ezeli signed with the Blazers for $15 million over 2 years, but he has yet to play this season.

We know we sound all grossed out by the announcement, but it’s just weird to know your knee is not the one you were born with. However, Ezeli is NOT the first athlete to use a dead man’s body part to repair and injury.

Green Bay QB Packers Aaron Rodgers had an ACL repair from a cadaver in 2004, as well as Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer in 2006. Both Rodgers and Palmer returned to form after the surgery.

Ezeli is making about $7.3 million this year, but the second year of his deal is only guaranteed for $1 million.
