Some guys might take the “not interested” thing way too far when they get denied by a hot Caribbean beauty. NOT Joel Embiid, he handled it like a man and like the star he is.

The Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid led the Sixers to an 89-80 win over the Boston Celtics Thursday night. After the game, he was asked about Rih Rih.

If you recall, early in his career, Embiid had been shut down when asking a woman, rumored to be Rihanna, out on a date, with the woman in question responding, “Come back when you’re an All-Star.”

“In 2014, he said; This is the truth… I was trying to get with this famous girl and she said ” Come back when you’re a All Star” bruhh”

These days Joel isn’t thinking about the “What’s My Name” singer at all. She’s just part of his past.
Here is what he said on Thursday night, after the game – Embiid said:

“She denied me back then; there’s no reason to go back to her. So I gotta move on to the next one. There’s a lot of pretty women out there, and I’m beautiful, so I gotta move on to the next one.”

He followed his comment up on Twitter making an official statement about leaving Rihanna in the past.

“She denied me back then, so why go with her again? I might have to pass that and move on to the next one… Trust the Process.”
