The ex-NBA star states:

“I was in total shock. Couldn’t say any clever shit back. Couldn’t ask questions. It was the first time in my life that I felt helpless. I felt like I was two inches tall. It was just … it was real.”

Lamar Odom recalls that his coke addiction is what led him to that point:

“At that point in my life, I was doing coke every day. Pretty much every second of free time that I had, I was doing coke. I couldn’t control it.”

He continued on about his cocaine addiction consumed his life to “The Players’ Tribune“:

He also admits to infidelity realizing his addiction and cheating had gotten way out of control. He also reveals that his wife, Khloe Kardashian, walked in on him getting high with a random chick in a motel:

“One of the darkest places I’ve ever been was when I was in a motel room, getting high with this chick, and my wife (at the time) walked in. That probably was like rock bottom.”

He adds:

“My dick and my habit took me down all the roads that you don’t ever wanna go down. I think of all the sneaky shit I tried to get away with. All the times I did wrong. All the stuff I tried to hide. If it’s not in the public light, it’s in God’s light.”

Odom concludes:

It was like God was telling me, “Whatever the fuck you think you’re doing, you need to slow down. Or it’s gonna be worse than this.”

Odom says he’s sober now and refuses to be homeless. He a new man, father and friend. Lamar is focused and is motivated by his family to stay clean.
