Marcus Peters’ Suspension Due To Fight With Coach

Earlier this week it was announced that Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters had been suspended without pay.

Now we just got word that Marcus Peters was due to a riff with his coach. Read on…

CelebNSports247.com has the latest on Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters suspension comes after his outburst during the final moments of last weeks loss to the New York Jets.

If you recall, Marcus Peters threw a referee’s flag into the stands before walking off the field and into the locker room, and no, he wasn’t ejected.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo:

Peters actions on the field weren’t the only reason for his suspension. He also got into a spat with one of the team’s coaches on the way to the airport. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid had suggested that there was more to Peters’ suspension, and this was it.

He has since spoken to the NFL Network’s Michael Robinson, who said the following.

Robinson said during Saturday’s show:

“I spoke to him this week, very much apologetic. He hates the way this thing came out. … I think the loss of Eric Berry has done some damage to Marcus Peters on a personal note, just not being able to have that guy like an Ike Taylor in that locker room to be able to lean on when you’re going through something.”

The Chiefs will have their hands full without Peters on Sunday, as they try to put an end to their four-game losing streak when they host the Oakland Raiders.
