CelebNSports247.com reports that 36-year-old Cedric Benson life was taken too early after he was involved in a motorcycle accident in Austin, Texas.

Cedric Benson lived his life to the fullest. He always had a smile and was just a real happy guy.

Benson lived by his motto:

Unfortunately, his life was taken by living his life on 2 wheels.

KVUE ABC reports:

Video shows a minivan up in flames after a crash took the lives of two people on a motorcycle Saturday night. One of them was football star Cedric Benson. The crash happened at Mount Bonnell Road and FM 2222.

It’s a hilly area with a lot of trees on either side. Police said poor visibility and speed could have led to Saturday night’s crash.

Sgt. Eric Wilson with the Austin Police Department said:

So at the bottom of this hill, and the curve as you’re going down 2222, it’s really difficult to see the vehicles as they’re coming down 2222 if you’re on Mount Bonnell.

This is the last thing neighbors want to there has been another crash at this intersection.

Resident David Stojanik said:

To hear it’s anybody, it’s terrible, but you know when you’re familiar with someone and you watch them grow up and play football, it just kind of hits a little closer to home.

Benson was a 4th overall pick of the Chicago Bears in 2005. In eight seasons he had 6,017 rushing yards, 833 receiving yards, and 33 total touchdowns.
