Philadelphia Eagles NFL Draft Day

CelebNSports247.com is hearing that The Philadelphia Eagles are doing it to take a quarterback in next Thursday’s draft for the NFL.

We guess, the Eagles are saying thank you Cleveland Browns.

USA Today reports:

The Eagles gave up the No. 8 overall pick, third- and fourth-round picks in 2016, a first-round pick next year and a second-round pick in 2018. They also receive a fourth-round pick next year.

Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman said the team planned to take a quarterback – presumably either Cal’s Jared Goff or North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz – with the No. 2 pick. The Rams are expected to select one of the two with the No. 1 overall pick.

Roseman said he was not sure which quarterback would be available at No. 2, but that he was comfortable with both players.

Roseman said in a news conference:

“We’re very sure we’re going to get the player we want.”

With Sam Bradford in the fold after signing a two-year deal in the offseason, the Eagles would not necessarily have to start a rookie at quarterback this season.

Roseman said:

“Let me be clear: Sam Bradford is our starting quarterback. We’ve told Sam that.”

“We intend to support him, and the moves we made this offseason we believe give us a chance to compete this season.”

The switch up reminds us of the movie Draft Day starring Kevin Costner. If you haven’t seen it, we say watch, because it will give you an inside look at what goes down before the actual NFL draft day takes place and why the teams switch positions. We wonder whats up with the Browns, because Draft Day is about the Cleveland Browns, so this makes it even more interesting.
