That decision came with a bunch of backlash. Seahawks fans were FURIOUS with Sherman signing with their biggest rival, but do they realize he NEEDS to lookout for his career. The Seahawks cut him loose! It wasn’t the other way around, and Sherman needs a new team.

One guy even decided to burn his jersey as a result of Richard signing with the 49ers.

Independent journalist Dov Kleiman writes:

“This is so stupid. There are #Seahawks fans burning the jersey of one of their best players in franchise history because their own team released him against his will and Sherman took a new contract worth almost $40 million.”

Congrats to the 49ers and Sherman. We look forward to a great year.
