Sammy Watkins Contract Changing Game for WR Market

In case you didn’t know, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins contract is changing the game for the WR market.

Read on and find out the tea spilling on the Chiefs Sammy Watkins contract and how its a first of many…

Sammy Watkins Contract Changing Game for WR MarketCelebNSports247.com has received word that Sammy Watkins contract since wide receiver salaries unexpectedly exploded during free agency!

Sammy Watkins has everyone beat, hands down when it comes to WR contracts!

There were wide receivers who haven’t done much to distinguish themselves during their NFL careers, like Albert Wilson and Paul Richardson. Both WR’s signed $8 million-per-year deals.

Then, Allen Robinson received a three-year, $42 million contract with $25.2 million in guarantees because the Bears are confident he’ll have a complete recovery from the left ACL tear.

The most surprising deal belongs to Sammy Watkins, who got a three-year, $48 million contract with $30 million fully guaranteed from the Chiefs.

Sammy Watkins was in high demand when it came to the Bears, Cowboys, and Packers this year. What is so crazy about this deal is that the 2014 fourth-overall pick is being paid like an elite receiver without matching production.

It’s not like their looking at his Instagram following to see if he has a bunch of likes. The NFL is all about playing skills.

Watkins caught a rather pedestrian 39 passes for 593 yards and eight touchdowns with the Rams last season after being traded from the Bills during training camp.

The Chiefs are the ones who coughed up the dough for Watkins so we will see how that all pans out this fall.

Sammy posted a photo assuring the Chiefs he’s ready to grind:

Gotcha coach I’m catch everything that come my way…

Thoughts?
