Flip and get the detail on the Will Smith Murder Trail and Ronald Gasser thinking he’s being held on a trumped-up charge…
The proceedings began in Will Smith’s murder case. While witness testimony in the second degree murder case against Cardell Hayes began Tuesday. Smith’s ex-Saints teammates including Drew Brees and Steve Gleason were on hand to see it.
We previously reported on Will Smith, who was gunned down in cold blood in the spring of this year in New Orleans. The incident was reported a crime from an an alleged road rage incident involving Hayes.
Another ex-Saint, Deuce McAllister, was also on hand, but was actually part of the trial … being called as the state of Louisiana’s first witness.
No word on whether or not either Brees or Gleason would be called as character witnesses for Smith … as of now, they’re just spectators.
Gasser is being held behind bars awaiting trial for the manslaughter of Joe McKnight. However, in a twisted turn of events, his attorney’s demanding his release, ASAP?
Is the man crazy? Witnesses watch Ronald Gasser shot and kill Joe McKnight and wait for police to arrive to arrest him. Was he suffering from temporary insanity?
Did Joe McKnight get killed because a crazy man was driving a car? Please, this is too much!
Gasser’s lawyer just filed a motion claiming there’s no probable cause for his client’s arrest. He’s asking the court for the earliest available hearing … so he can show a judge why Gasser should get out of jail.
Gasser was arrested Monday night and is being held on a $500,000 bond. At the very least, his attorney’s asking the bond be reduced.
WHAT? Hell NO! He killed Joe McKnight!
