See, Dallas should be getting at least one experienced player back this week in versatile backup Cameron Erving.

Erving has been out since the season opener with a knee injury suffered against the Rams. While signed for his experience and position flexibility, Cam didn’t start that week as Dallas gave the opportunity to rookie Terrence Steele at right tackle. Erving was injured on a special teams play. – reports InsideTheStar

What we’ve learned about Erving’s return.

The Cowboys OT Cameron Erving should not only return in Week 7 but will likely be the Cowboys’ starting left tackle.

That would also be the simple fact that offensive tackle Tyron Smith is already on injured reserve. Tyron is out for a neck injury and will miss the rest of the 2020 NFL season since he will need surgery.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on Dallas radio station 105.3 The Fan.

He said:

Tyron has done any and everything he could possibly do with his condition to play. The facts are that he’s a 10-year veteran, and this surgery at this time, not after the season, but at this particular time, is important for the rest of his career. Its nerve type sensitivity that is involved here, gets involved, and creates a stinger type if you remember the term of nerve in your neck and shoulder area.

Then to add more problems Dallas lost Brandon Knight as well for at least the next three games. Knight is set to undergo knee surgery. Dallas is having a rough season with so many teammates injured.
