Wizards Trades Options for Wall Are Otto Porter + Bradley BealCelebNSports247.com reports that Washington Wizards John Wall’s on-court regression and massive contract makes for a quick retooling unavoidable.

The 28-year-old point guard John Wall season is over for the Wizards.  This is NOT a good way to start.  Not to mention, Wall just began his four-year, $170 million supermax contract that he signed on July 1, 2018. With John Wall out for the rest of the season, the team needs to retool and rebuild. So, where does that leave the organization?

Wall has all the potential to be a great player, but that will have to wait until the 2019/20 season. So where does he stand with the Wizards?

The Wizards relied heavily on Wall’s youthful athleticism and speed but his surgery equals depressed value. If the Wizards can’t trade Wall this summer or next season, why bother? We guess he won’t be verbally attacking anyone now that he’s out for the season.

One reason would be:

His lack of on-court improvement mixed with that hefty contract has made it really difficult to find a suitable trade for the Wizards. So how can the Wizards rebuild?

So where are the Wizards shifting their focus hoping to find a position of strength on the team? They’re NOT, they’re putting two players up for a trade before February. – SBNation

The team is running out of options as December draws to a close.

The Wizards are actually pondering on trading Otto Porter and Bradley Beal. Despite John Wall out and costing the team major loot, the Wizards are focusing on rebuilding this midseason.

We previously mentioned Wall is virtually untradeable at this point, which means Bradley Beal and Otto Porter Jr. are the next players to walk.

Yahoo Sports writer Keith Smith sees this as the only option:

Talking to teams this afternoon, they said the Wizards had cooled on trade talks over the last couple of weeks. Several expect to re-engage them now. One team told me “They’ve got to move on from Beal or Porter now, just to clear up the cap some. Vultures are starting to circle.
