In additional news: Yasiel Puig is Ready to Get back to the MLB sporting healthier shape, mindset!

Yasiel Puig said he wants “to be a starter again, whether it’s here or somewhere else.”

Less than a month before Spring Training and six months after a Minor League demotion, Puig has been working out at Dodger Stadium the last two weeks. He’s been conditioning his leaner body to avoid injuries for 2017, despite his reoccuring injuries that hampered his performance.

The 26-year-old is competing to return to the Dodgers vying to flank center fielder Joc Pederson in the outfield corners. Luckily for Puig, he remains with the Dodgers, who were willing to trade him in the offseason Milwaukee for Ryan Braun, but the deal fell apart

Now, the 6-foot-2 Puig, who last year was listed at 240 pounds, now has a personal chef to prepare healthier foods. And he is ready and in shape to play ball with the Los Angeles Dodgers. – MLB

He said:

“If God permits me, I’m trying to be more healthy and doing what I need to do to better myself. I had made the decision to eat healthier and be at a good weight to run better.”

We hope he gets back in with the Dodgers, he’s a great player.
