New York Giants Gunning For Tom Brady In Free Agency!

It appears everyone has Tom Brady on their mind since he is under one month away from becoming a free agent for the first time in his career. Read on since the Giants are now gunning for Patriots QB Tom Brady…

CelebNSports247.com reports that the six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback is expected to not only receive a bunch of interest, but he plans to explore all possibilities.

According to ESPN NFL reporter Mike Reiss there was no movement between Brady and the Patriots regarding a new contract. The franchise is reportedly committed to letting him enter free agency.

With that said, this leaves him open the possibility of him signing anywhere, and that includes a very familiar team.

One of Brady’s former Patriots teammates believes the Giants could be emerging as a “sleeper” team.

From 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston:

According to Zolak & Bertrand’s Scott Zolak, somebody “not from the Brady side but very connected” told him “don’t fall asleep” on the New York Giants as a possible landing spot for Tom Brady in free agency.

There are some clear draws for Brady on the blue side of New York. He’s familiar with new head coach Joe Judge, who spent 2012-2019 with the Patriots as a special teams coach and wide receivers coach. Judge has brought a number of former Patriots assistants to the Giants, including former assistant QB coach Jerry Schuplinski. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, while not a part of the Patriots coaching tree, runs an Erhardt-Perkins system like the one Brady had in New England.

It is highly unlikely the Giants organization would pull the plug on Daniel Jones, especially after he showed so much promise during the 2019 season. Not to mention, the Giants do not have the pieces in place for Brady to win now, so it would be a lose-lose type of situation for both parties.

Mike Reiss would soon provide another update to his prediction when he stated New England is a serious favorite to sign Brady in free agency.

He reported today:

The Patriots are expected to seek clarity on Brady’s intentions before the start of free agency on March 18, because his decision will have a significant trickle-down effect on the team’s overall plans. With no movement to date, I’m sticking with 80% odds on Brady’s return at this time.
