Phillies Odubel Herrera Off The Hook For Domestic Violence

CelebNSports247.com reports that Odubel Herrera, 27, was arrested in Atlantic City back in May after cops say the MLB player got violent with a female during a dispute at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.

What we have learned via TMZ:

Cops arrived at the scene to find that the victim had “visible signs of injury to her arms and neck. She had sustained injuries after being assaulted by her boyfriend Odubel Herrera.

Police also said that Odubel girlfriend was found with “handprint marking to her neck area and small scratches to her arms.”

Herrera was initially arrested for simple assault. If “El Torito” was found guilty, he faced a $1,000 fine and 6 months in jail.

When he first faced the judge he Venezuelan MLB player pled not guilty. “El Torito” ultimately cut a deal in which prosecutors agreed to drop the charge as long as he completes an anger management course.

Basically, it’s a no-brainer.

As for MLB, league officials placed Odubel on administrative leave while the case was active.

This will be interesting to see what kind of punishment he gets from the Commissioner.
