CelebnSports247.com reports that Seattle Seahawks Backup QB Smith Was arrested Monday morning.

Geno Smith was reportedly arrested and then released, per the Seattle Times:

Geno Smith, the Seahawks’ backup quarterback the past three years, was arrested Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence and then released, according to King County District Court records.

Smith was arrested at 2:10 a.m. and released at 9:27 a.m., documents show.

No other details were immediately available.

TMZ Sports reports:

According to law enforcement, Smith was initially stopped for speeding … and was booked into the King County Jail a short time later.
Records show he was released after about seven hours in custody.

Further details surrounding the arrest are unclear … we’re working on it.

Smith played in a total of four games this season while Russell Wilson was out with a finger injury. He recorded a 1-2 record and logged 702 passing yards and five TDs.

The former 2nd-round pick is slated to be a free agent this offseason.
