Ex-NFL player Andre Rison Loves His 420 Candy

CelebNSports247.com has the latest on Andre Rison, who played for Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, just to mention a few.

Now the Detroit Free Press reports that Andre Rison failed to meet child-support payments and also recently tested positive for marijuana, hie “candy.”

According to Rison his candy helps him with his pain. But Rison is upset with how he is being portrayed in the media. He states that he is a good dad, and he probably is, but he is accused of violating his probation in a child support case, says he will turn himself in after a judge in Michigan signed an arrest warrant for him.

Rison told the newspaper:

That his legal troubles are a “big nasty hurdle.”

“I’m just tired. Here I am, being looked at like a hardcore criminal. … I’m trying to do the right thing.”

“My mistake was made years ago, and I’m still under this microscope. It’s very frustrating.”

The warrant signed Tuesday by a federal judge says Rison recently tested positive for marijuana and failed to keep up with minimum support payments. Rison said he has used marijuana candy to deal with post-NFL injuries.

He adds:

“I hurt every day.”

Rison was a star Michigan State receiver and played for seven NFL teams from 1989 to 2000. He has lately been a high school coach in Flint and Ann Arbor.

In 2013, the Flint native was ordered to pay at least $1,000 a month toward a total of $300,000 in restitution.

Rison told the Free Press he makes $9,000 per year as an assistant coach and collects $3,300 per month in disability benefits from the NFL.

These days, Rison’s son, Hunter, is one of the top recruits in the Midwest and committed to play receiver at Michigan State where his father played in the late 1980s.

We wish him the best and hope that he straightens out his life. Its sad to see a NFL player go from millions to $9k a year, but its all about choice!

He could have been like Floyd Mayweather who makes tons of money to date because of smart investments and right choices. Who wants to be that celeb or athlete that has to work at Kinkos stuggling to make rent. Talent gets you there, screwing up like Johnny Manziel has you working at Kinkos.
