Ex-NFL RB Joe McKnight Murdered In Road Rage Shooting

CelebNSports247.com just got word that Ex-NFL RB Joe McKnight, was gunned down in cold blood. Joe was trying to apologize to another man after some sort of traffic incident, according to a witness who saw the whole thing.

The man, who has now been identified was NOT hearing it and SHOT the former Canadian Football League baller, Joe McKnight. The witness says the man then pulled out a gun and shot McKnight. It gets worse. The man stood over him and screamed:

“I told you not to f*** with me” … then fired another shot into his body.

The murder of the River Ridge, Louisiana native comes to a shock to us all! People are crazy and life it is too short! Joe McKnight should NOT be dead. The incident occurred at 2:43 PM. Family members identified the 28-year-old at the scene, according to NOLA.com

The former USC Trojans and New York Jets running back Joe McKnight was shot to death in an apparent road rage incident in New Orleans on Thursday, according to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand.

Normand said:

“At approximately 2:43 p.m. today we received a call of a shooting that occurred here at Holmes and Behrman Highway. Our officers arrived on the scene and immediately began giving CPR to an individual who was shot, lying on the ground, with EMS and others assisting at this location.”

TMZ reports:

Cops say they have detained a man they believe to be the shooter, 54-year-old Ronald Gasser. Cops say McKnight did NOT have a gun at the time of the shooting. Emergency responders tried to administer CPR but to no avail.

Joe attended USC before becoming a fourth-round pick of the Jets in 2010. He spent three seasons with New York, amassing one start in 39 games and totaling 505 yards rushing and 241 yards receiving. McKnight also was one of the NFL’s top kick returners in 2011 and ’12 — his 29.0-yard career average leading all active players.
