CelebNSports247.com has learned that college basketball star and Golden State Warriors’ first-round pick in 1994 Clifford Rozier died from a heart attack.

The news about Clifford Rozier passing away Friday after suffering from a heart attack according to a Facebook post from his family.

Kobie Rozier wrote on Facebook Friday afternoon:

For the last few days my brother big Cliff been fighting for his life after having a heart attack. Today he lost his fight. Rest easy big bro and I’ll see you again one day.

The Herald-Tribune recapped a story they posted in 2010 regarding Rozier who was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Here is what they reported back in 2010:

He was a recovering crack addict who spent five years wandering the streets, sometimes carrying a pistol, often hearing voices. Voices telling him to jump in front of cars, confront police so they would shoot him, or jump from a building to see if he could fly.

After spending time in jail cells and psychiatric wards, Rozier lived in a Bradenton halfway house with nine other men.

Rozier said at the time:

Ain’t nobody heard from me in almost 10 years. I don’t go nowhere. I keep to myself. I want to stay here.
