Magic Johnson shocked the NBA world on Tuesday night in the middle of the penultimate night of the league’s regular season stepping down as the president of basketball operations of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Why the sudden announcement?
Magic gave an impromptu press conference before Tuesday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers
Johnson clarified that he’s making this move because he feels the team is moving in the proper direction. Though, Magic adds that he had more fun on the otherside instead of being on this side.
Here is what he told the press:
“I had more fun when I was able to be the big brother and the ambassador to everybody. I thought about Dwyane Wade…I can’t even tweet it out.”
