Dodger Aggressively Going For Deal on Dellin Betances:

The former New York Yankees pitcher Dellin Betances is finding his name mentioned by a couple of different clubs Wednesday at the MLB Winter Meetings.

Free-agent pitcher Betances is a hot commodity for the Los Angeles Dodgers and they want him bad. Joel Sherman reports:

Brett Gardner and the Yankees Agree to $12.5M for A 1-Year-Deal:

Brett Gardner and the Yankees have agreed on a one year deal for $12.5 million. There is an option for a second year that is worth $20 million, per George A. King III.

Gardner is $10M for 2020, $10M club option for 2021 with a $2.5M buyout.

The Yankees and Gardner have always been mutual in wanting to keep the partnership. Gardner performed well in 2019, so it is no charity case. And with especially Sabathia, but also Didi and possibly Betances/Romine gone, Gardner’s leadership also is vital.
