CelebNSPorts247.com has learned that Cameron Artis-Payne was stopped by N.C. State Highway Patrol officers around 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 85 in Gaston County.
Another day, another NFL player arrested!
Here is what we’ve learned via The Charlotte Observer, who goes on to say that Artis-Payne’s Dodge Challenger was clocked at 102 mph in a 65 mph zone.
A highway patrol spokesman told the Observer neither alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident. The spokesman said Artis-Payne was “very polite and cooperative during the whole process.”
The 25-year-old running back spent about 30 minutes at the Gaston County Jail before being released. A Panthers spokesman confirmed the arrest to the Observer but did not comment further.

Payne, who played collegiate football at Auburn, played seven games as a rookie last year, gaining 241 yards from scrimmage with a touchdown.
