CelebNSports247.com reports that Jon “Bones” Jones has officially been slapped with a battery charge for an incident that happened at a strip club in April.

Two weeks ago, Jon Jones was defending his UFC Light Heavyweight Title against Thiago Santos. While the spotlight was on him in Las Vegas, there was a bench warrant for his arrest at the time.

Thiago recently posted photos that he is recovering from meniscus injuries following the fight.

According to KRQE 13:

It stems from a visit at TD’s Eubank Showclub in April. According to Albuquerque Police, a cocktail waitress called officers to her home and told them Jones slapped her inappropriately, and pulled her down to his lap and kissed her neck, while she was at work.

The waitress told police he also placed her in a chokehold and picked her up off the ground. When she told him to stop, Jones allegedly kept touching her until he decided to leave. He was then charged with battery.

The crazy thing is that Jon Jones was talking about “becoming a better leader,” and then saying that he is “trying to bring out the best of the guys that are around me.” With that said, something like this should not have took place.

A spokesperson for Jones said he was unaware of the charge until KRQE brought it to his attention.

Then, on Monday morning, Jones claimed he was not in trouble and that he plans on winning in December:

The 6? 4? 32-year-old current and two-time undisputed UFC Light Heavyweight Champion had this response.

Jon Jones Tweeted:

I’m definitely not in any trouble my friend, don’t be so quick to believe everything you read on the Internet.
