This is NOT what the San Francisco 49ers need right now, but word is Nick Bosa is out for the preseason action with a “significant” ankle sprain
The latest on Nick Bosa, the new quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers an their hope that he will get them to the super bowl is already starting out rocky. Read on as Nick Bosa Out With Injury For Preseason…
CelebNSports247.com reports that on Wednesday afternoon, it was reported that Nick Bosa was dealing “just an ankle sprain” and he likely wouldn’t see any preseason action.
NinerNation puts it like this, Nick Bosa (#97) having elements of a high ankle sprain is disappointing, but there’s no way around it.
Basically, Bosa had a 200+ pound teammate (Kyle Shanahan) fall onto his leg. Shanahan mentioned the knee had some action in the incident as well. Though, Kyle seems to support this notion when he was asked about it during his press conference:
I go back to his history and I think the guy stayed on the field throughout college. I mean, look, he played 12 games his freshman year, I think 13 his sophomore year, I think he played in three his next year and he had surgery to repair his, I think his oblique, that probably was a pretty good decision for him, too. So, when you go back to that decision, he played game-in and game-out until that year and now we have a guy come in and someone landed on his leg and that doesn’t make me say someone’s injury-prone because he had one serious injury in college and he tore his ACL sometime in high school like 60-percent of the players out there.
Meanwhile, Ian Rapoport reported:
On Thursday afternoon, 49ers general manager John Lynch described the 1st-round pick as having a “significant” ankle sprain, confirming that he would indeed miss the entire preseason.
Nick Bosa was held out of OTAs with a Grade 1 hamstring strain, so he’s had a crazy summer dealing with his ankle that hopefully doesn’t follow him into the NFL season.
The 21-year-old was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft and agreed to a 4-year, $33M rookie contract that included a $22M signing bonus. Before his NFL career has even started he made controversial headlines promoting Trump so he cut the comments. He showed the world he is a racist liking his friends derogatory N-Word posts, and made some nast comments about Kaepernick which he apologized for. But did you buy his apology?
That is why Richard Sherman CALLED Nick Bosa OUT!
Bosa stats are as follows; 77 tackles, 17.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and a defensive TD over the course of 3 seasons at Ohio State.
What do you think about Nick Bosa out with injury so early on?
