On Monday, new NFL tackling rules have claimed a victim already when Dolphins defensive lineman William Hayes suffered a torn ACL.
Now, William Hayes will miss the rest of the season after he landed awkwardly trying to avoid putting his body weight on Derek Carr. Read on to see what San Francisco 49ers Richard Sherman is sounding off about…
Here’s a better angle of the William Hayes injury. You can clearly see him kicking his right leg out, and the bad bend. The NFL needs to eliminate the “weight on the QB rule” now. Like, today. pic.twitter.com/ngS5GYqVEi

CelebNSports247.com reports that Richard Sherman, who is dealing with an injury of his own, weighed in on Twitter by blasting the league for only caring about the health of quarterbacks.
Richard Sherman weighed in saying:
They don’t care about the rest of us getting hurt. Long as the QB is safe.
Here is the play that looked like a hard and painful fall for Hayes who suffered a torn ACL for trying to protect another player from getting injured:
And we have our 1st defensive player who injured himself trying to land unnaturally to the side of the QB he’s sacking. Basically, the new (& nonsensical) NFL rule caused this injury. This league has become so dumb. #Dolphins #Raiders pic.twitter.com/Jjh0u8XJVJ

It’s sad that players have to deal with such favoritism on the field.
