It looks like Aldon Smith will be an Oakland Raider since he was just spotted team building today, so yes, Aldon Smith Finalizes Deal With Raiders!!!
Get the details on Aldon Smith on the flip…
If you like the Oakland Raiders like we do then you’ll be happy to learn that the Oakland Raiders and pass-rusher Aldon Smith is currently finalizing his agreement deal with the Raiders.
We spotted some chatted on Twitter that tipped us off via NFL Insider for ESPN Adam Schefter, who tweeted:
Meanwhile ESPN reports:
The 26-year-old Aldon Smith was spotted at the Raiders’ facility Monday trying to complete the deal. If all goes as planned, and the team likes what it hears, Smith will sign the agreed-upon contract.
The only negative thing against Smith is that he is in the midst of serving a yearlong suspension that was handed down in November, when he violated the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.
However, Smith will be eligible to apply for reinstatement 60 days before the one-year anniversary of the November suspension.
You can look at this only one way for the Raiders, if Smith does in fact agree to terms then the Raiders will bring back a talented but troubled pass-rushing force.
Is that a good thing?
Yes, Aldon Smith is extremely talented on the field.
As for the negative?
Smith needs to clean up his act and stay clean.
Moreover, his negative headlines tend to still haunt him.
In September, Smith pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run, drunken driving and vandalism, charges that stemmed from an alleged Aug. 6 incident.
Aldon has officially signed with The Oakland Raider for th 2015-2016 year. He posted the above photo on Instagram writing:
“Blessed”
In additional news, Cincinnati Bengals free-agent safety Reggie Nelson is also scheduled to meet with the Raiders this week, a source told Schefter.
