Baker Mayfield TRADE: He’s Gunning For The Colts Now!
26-year-old QB Mayfield has told The Browns which team he wants to play for and its no longer Seattle!
Now that the Cleveland Browns have landed former Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield has carte blanc on which team he wants to play for…
CelebnSports247.com has reports that it was believed that the Cleveland Browns would NOT be granting Baker Mayfield his trade request, as they intended to keep the 2018 first-overall pick after apparently striking out on Deshaun Watson.
Now that has all changed and Baker Mayfield can basically call his own play on where he wants to be traded.
There have been a lot of twists and turns when it comes to quarterbacks Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield. Especially since the soon to be former Browns QB bid farewell to the team and requested to be traded.
Now we have learned that the Seahawks are out for Baker and the Colts are in.
The Colts are one of several NFL teams that are still left without a quarterback following all of the movement over the past few weeks.
According to The Athletic’s Jeff Howe, Mayfield has already informed the Browns that he would prefer to be traded to the Indianapolis Colts. Howe also points out that the Browns still have to agree to accommodate a trade to an AFC foe.
Howe reports:
Baker Mayfield has informed the Browns that he’d prefer to be traded to the Colts, per sources. Earlier this week, prior to Mayfield’s trade request, the Browns said they’d work with him on a trade. We’ll see if they’ll accommodate such a move to the AFC, though.
