CelebnSports247.com reports Midway through the third quarter of Sunday’s New Orleans Saints-Chicago Bears game, Bears wide receiver Wims walked up to Saints defensive back Gardner-Johnson.
Javon Wims first tapped Chauncey Gardner Johnson on the chest, and then punched him twice.
Wims was ejected shortly thereafter in a game the Saints would go on to win, 26-23, in overtime.
Bears coach Matt Nagy said, via NFL Network’s Stacey Dales:
I am really, really bothered, by that third-quarter incident. It bothers me. I’m proud of the guys that played hard. The guys that were selfless.

According to NFL, Television replays showed Gardner-Johnson previously exchanging words with Bears wideout Anthony Miller with the defensive back at one point sticking his finger in Miller’s face.
This was a completely unnecessary move on his part – bad behavior.
