Braves Pitcher Huascar Ynoa BREAKS Hand; Out Several Months!

The Atlanta Braves will be without pitcher Huascar Ynoa after he punched their dugout bench on Sunday and fractured his right hand, the team announced on Monday.

Braves starter Huascar Ynoa fractured his right-hand yesterday after punching a dugout bench in frustration. He’s out indefinitely.

CelebnSports247.com reports that Huascar Ynoa was placed on the 10-day injured list, though Braves manager Brian Snitker said he will be out for several months.

Snitker said, via Bally Sports said:

He just got a little frustrated after his outing yesterday. Punched the seat in the dugout, broke his hand … I hate to see that. The young guy was doing so good. It’s going to be a big loss for us.

Huascar Ynoa punched the dugout bench after the loss to Brewers.

Braves pitcher Huascar Ynoa gave up nine hits and five runs in less than five innings on Sunday in a 10-9 loss to the Brewers in Milwaukee.

He then punched the dugout bench after he was pulled from the game, and broke a bone in his pitching hand.

Ynoa said after the game, via The Athletic:

It just felt like some pitches weren’t going my way, or falling in the spots I wanted to. But at the same time, you have to give credit to the hitters on the other team … I was missing spots.

The 22-year-old had won four starts in a row headed into Sunday’s game, and held a 1.11 ERA. Ynoa is in his third season with the Braves. He has 50 strikeouts and a .302 ERA in his eight starts.
