Denver Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb left yesterday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with an apparent leg injury.
Continue on to get the details on the Denver Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb…
CelebNSports247.com reports that the 23-year-old 6? 4? 276 lbs linebacker Bradley Chubb will be out for the rest of 2019.
Here is what we’ve learned via ESPN:
Broncos coach Vic Fangio confirmed that Chubb, the fifth overall pick in the 2018 draft, suffered the season-ending injury in Denver’s 26-24 loss Sunday to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fangio said Monday:
It’s a huge loss. He’s one of our better players, obviously. He’s a tempo-setter, a great person, a great leader.
Vic Fangio said Chubb had discomfort in his knee Monday morning and was sent for an MRI, which revealed the partial tear.
He added:
He felt good enough to come back in, and actually he played that last series pretty damn well. [He] had some really good pass rushes, caused that fumble that [we] weren’t able to get. So he was as surprised, I think, as anybody this morning when he woke up feeling the way he did.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who reveals the injury is, in fact, a season-ending ACL tear:
Chubb has 21 tackles on the year, five for a loss, plus a single sack. In his rookie campaign, the versatile defender racked up 60 tackles and 12 sacks.
This loss is obviously major for the Broncos. At 0-4 and with little hope, it’s about to get even bleaker.
