Browns Out of Running To Trade For Deshaun Watson; Saints Are Favorite!
The clock has run out for the Cleveland Browns who were gunning to get Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson…
CelebnSports247.com reports that the Cleveland Browns were informed Thursday that they are no longer in the running to land Deshaun Watson in a trade with the Houston Texans, according to a team source.
Nick Caserio was requiring each team to provide a trade proposal before Watson could meet with this teams. Today the picture has become clearer.
Basically the Browns cut their own chances.
ESPN reports, the Browns officials met with Watson on Tuesday in Houston and attempted to persuade the quarterback to waive his no-trade clause to play for them. But Watson instead eliminated the Browns from contention, leaving the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons as the remaining known contenders for Watson.
Deshaun seems to have a favorite team and its The New Orleans Saints.
The New Orleans Saints are meeting with Watson a second time, including the owner meeting with Watson. No other team has met with Watson multiple times according to the reports.
