CelebnSports247.com reports that star wide receiver Chris Godwin and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a three-year, $60-million deal.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers newest addition Chris Godwin’s deal also includes a $40-million guarantee.
This is a huge deal for Godwin, making him the fourth-highest-paid wideout in the NFL — tied with Amari Cooper and Mike Williams, and trailing only DeAndre Hopkins, Davante Adams and Keenan Allen.
ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports:
Buccaneers’ franchise player Chris Godwin reached agreement on a 3-year, $60 million deal that includes $40 million fully guaranteed at signing, sources tell ESPN.

Godwin is coming off a torn ACL he suffered late in the season, so it’s good to see he was able to secure a multi-year extension this offseason, rather than playing on another franchise tag.
Back in January, the Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin’s surgery to repair his season-ending torn ACL/MCL was a success. Godwin went under the knife on Monday.
Ian Rapoport Reports:
#Bucs star WR Chris Godwin underwent successful surgery to repair his ACL and MCL, a procedure performed by noted expert Dr. James Andrews in Florida today, source said. There was no meniscus damage for the pending top free agent, who will make a full recovery.

In 14 games last season, Godwin recorded a career-high 98 receptions, along with 1,103 yards and five touchdowns. No word yet on whether or not he’ll be ready by the start of the season.
