Cam Newton Replaces Sam Darnold Shouting ‘I’m Back’ After Scoring Touchdown!
Before the weekend kicked off quarterback Cam Newton returned to the Carolina Panthers after they signed him to a one-year contract.
CelebnSports247.com reports Cam Newton has already proved signing him was the Panthers’ best move of the season since the Panthers announced that Sam Darnold is out four to six weeks with a shoulder injury.
See, the Panthers picked up Newton this week after Sam Darnold’s injury put them in a desperate situation at quarterback.
Newton, who was released by New England ahead of Week 1, spent half the season without a team before finally getting that call from his former club.
Well, Newton announced his official return to Carolina on his first snap in the red zone. On second and goal from the 2-yard line, Newton scrambled for an easy touchdown. And as he celebrated the score, he removed his helmet to shout, “I’m back!”

Newton wasn’t done either in the first quarter. He followed up that rushing touchdown with a passing touchdown to Robby Anderson.

Meanwhile, Cam Newton is back with the Panthers, but Sam Darnold may be watching from the sidelines from now on.
According to a source, the Panthers “know Sam is out for the season,” which contributed to Carolina signing quarterback Cam Newton to a one-year contract that essentially guarantees him $6 million.
This means Newton will have a chance to cement his status as Carolina’s starter for the remainder of this year and potentially the 2022 season as well.
If Newton plays well this season, he would become the favorite to be Carolina’s starting quarterback in 2022.
This also means that Sam Darnold will more than likely be looking for a new team since Carolina has Cam back.
