CelebNSports247.com reports that Alabama State Rep. John Rogers (D) was present during a committee hearing on HB35, which is a bill that would prohibit a transgender person from competing in sporting events that are female only.
When it came to Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, who may possibly get traded, Rogers shockingly stated that, “My favorite player is a transgender.”
The Alabama State Rep. stated he played for the “North Carolina Panthers” and was about to be cut by the team for being transgender.
Rogers was speaking of Cam Newton, 30, who is basically the Dennis Rodman of the NFL when it comes to expressing himself through clothing.
He said:
I don’t recall his name… [though he asserted that] about 20 football players are transgender that he knows of.
Yellowhammer News followed up with Rogers on his comments, where he said the player was Cam Newton.
Rogers then said that he misspoke and that he believes Newton is “gay.”
Wow, ok, that is really messed up.
Can Rogers explain that to Cam Newton and his longtime girlfriend who just gave birth to the couple’s child.
Cam has had plenty of trolls questioning his sexuality for his fashion sense, but he is 100% heterosexual. Sorry Rogers, maybe Cam was a dream man for him or something, but he is surely NOT gay or Transgender!
Some people just NEED to stay in their lane and no comment on what they don’t know. #SMH
