After the news of Westboro Baptist Church vowed to protest the NCAA game over first openly gay player, Derrick Gordon, Charles Barkley Wants Westboro Baptist Church Members Beat Up!!!
Get all the details on the flip…
CelebNSports247.com heard about the great news that Derrick Gordon of Seton Hall will make history when he becomes the first openly gay player in an NCAA men’s basketball tournament game.
What we didn’t like was that the haters at the Westboro Baptist Church have vowed to protest the game, being played at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
So we ask, “What makes a gay athlete different from a straight athlete?”
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
And former NBA Phoenix Suns baller Charles Barkley agrees since the news prompted him to tell everyone what he thought of Westboro, telling TMZ they are “awful” people.

During a studio analyst for CBS and TBS during the tourney, Charles Barkley said:
“I really hate them sumbitches.”
“Hopefully, somebody will beat the hell out of those Westboro people…ignore the haters” and then wished Derrick Gordon the best.
Ignoring Westboro is the best strategy. They love attention and they have tweeted out Barkley’s threat numerous times, since they would love it to happen.
You can watch Gordon and Seton Hall take on Gonzaga tonight at 9:57 p.m. EDT on TruTV.
