It was a very scary moment for Zach Miller, since it could have been a career changing moment for the tight end player.

Saints TE Michael Hoomanawanui had this to say:

“He was very appreciative of us thinking of him. He’s gotta be here for a week or whatever, and if you can make it feel like home for him a little bit …He was alert, and we were just talking like he was one of us. It was a cool 20 minutes or whatever we spent with him. I know he’s got a long road ahead … but it was good to see him.”

Hoomanawanui said he visited Miller because it was a “brotherhood.”

Meanwhile, New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram, who didn’t visit Miller at the hospital, did reach out  to offer up a meal to Miller if he was still in the city, via Twitter:
