CelebnSports247.com reports that the Dallas Police Department really wanted to speak to Kelvin Joseph after he appeared to be in surveillance footage near the scene of the shooting death of 20-year old Cameron Ray.
Joseph would soon speak with investigators and stated his involvement as a passenger in a drive-by shooting that ended up killing a man. However, even if he didn’t pull the trigger, he could still face penalty under Texas state law.
Quarterback Dak Prescott was asked about his Cowboys teammate over the weekend.
Prescott said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:
He’s been around…He’s been in the building. A situation like that, none of us can put ourselves in his shoes or know what to do honestly. You let the people that get paid to do that, handle those things. And best we can do, I can do, is be a brother and be a teammate to him.
The footage featured a group of men that appeared to include Joseph entering and standing inside a nightclub, as well as a fight that occurred with the same group outside the establishment. After that fight, surveillance shows Ray and others walking to nearby cars, when a dark-colored SUV speeds by firing gunshots. Ray was struck and died later at a local hospital.
Two men have since been arrested for that shooting.
