Dak Prescott SHUTS DOWN NFL Ref!

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was not taking any chances this week with the ref during coin toss this time. Continue on and watch how Dak Prescott handles the NFL Ref…

CelebNSports247.com reports that during the coin toss between the Eagles and Cowboys on Sunday Dak Prescott made sure to yell out “WE DEFER.”

Prescott was NOT trying to have another incident like last week.

Just before the game against the Rams last Sunday, there was controversy that the Cowboys would be kicking off before the 1st and 3rd quarter because of what Dak Prescott allegedly said when asked what the team wanted to do.

If you recall, last week was another flipping embarrassment!

Last week during the Cowboys vs Rams game Dallas won the toss and quarterback Dak Prescott told referee Walt Anderson his team wanted “defense,” adding the Cowboys wanted to “kick it that way,” pointing toward the Rams.

What the Cowboys really wanted was to receive the kickoff to start the second half.

Prescott said:

We defer to the second half.

Anderson responded:

OK, you’re going to kick.

Judging by the looks of three Rams (Jared Goff, Eric Weddle, and Johnny Hekker) it was clearly realized the Cowboys had made a mistake.

The NFL eventually stepped in and corrected it.

NFL senior vice president of officiating Al Riveron stepped in and released a statement.

Riveron statement reads as follows [via LA Times]:

Well, it’s specific to the rule. Under Rule 15 for replay, Section 3, Article 9, and I’m paraphrasing now, it says we can get involved, a replay can, as far as game administration issues — downs, enforcements, things like that. So by rule, we can get involved. This is a game administration issue, not a judgment call, for example. And we have definitive audio that refers to deferring.

If you look at what happened, you see that the Cowboys actually say three different things, and then we hear at the end where they say ‘defer,'” he noted. “So we go ahead and look at it. We pulled up the audio. We knew that I was going to have a conversation with Walt Anderson at halftime to make it right.
