Court documents state that Darrelle Revis is facing five criminal charges after two men who had been knocked unconscious, told police they were allegedly KO’d by Revis and another man.
Darrelle Revis Details:
Revis, 31, turned himself in to authorities Friday night after he was charged Thursday with four felonies and a misdemeanor. Revis got into a physical altercation in Pittsburgh early Sunday morning. His four felonies include two counts of aggravated assault, one count of robbery and one count of conspiracy: aggravated assault. The craziest charge is that he was charged with making terrorist threats.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy:
“The league will look into the matter. Revis faces the possibility of discipline from the league under the NFL’s personal conduct policy. The Jets confirmed to NFL.com they are aware of the incident.”
The Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety’s released this statement:
“According to the investigation, a 22-year-old male from Kittanning was walking along E. Carson Street when he spotted a male who resembled Aliquippa native (Darrelle) Revis, a cornerback in the NFL. He asked if the man was (Darrelle) Revis and he confirmed that he was. The male began recording the interaction on his cellphone and continued following Revis. At some point, Revis snatched the cellphone away and attempted to delete the video.”
“Another 21-year-old male from Ross Township attempted to help the 22-year-old retrieve the cellphone. Revis then tossed the phone onto the roadway. A verbal argument followed. A male came to assist Revis. Both the 22-year-old and the 21-year-old state they were punched then remember waking up to talk to police. Witnesses state the two were unconscious for about 10 minutes. The Officers viewed the cellphone video and confirmed that the person was Revis.”
The Jets confirmed to NFL.com they are aware of the incident. Plus, Revis faces the possibility of discipline from the league under the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Which means his career is now in jeopardy since the incident. Moreover, Darrelle Revis $15.3 million salary-cap number puts him at risk of being released by the Jets.
Revis’ lawyer, Blaine Jones, claimed that Revis was “physically assaulted” and that he “feared for his safety.” “At no time was Darrelle“ the aggressor, he sought medical attention after the incident.
Blaine Jones statement reads as follows, via CBS Pittsburgh:
“Mr. Revis came home to Pittsburgh this past weekend to visit family and friends. During that time Mr. Revis went by a location in the South Side [a neighborhood in Pittsburgh] that he is in the process of developing. Mr. Revis was physically assaulted while at that location by a group of at least five people. Mr. Revis feared for his safety and retreated from the aggressors. Mr. Revis was not arrested after this incident. Mr. Revis sought medical attention as a result of the aforementioned attack.”
