CelebnSports247.com reports that Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters says “there was no intentional spitting toward Jarvis Landry.”
Peters and Landry have a history – in the past Marcus got trolled after he called Jarvis, Odell Beckham Jr.’s homegirl.
In a statement issued by the Ravens, Peters said:
I didn’t spit at Jarvis. Where I come from, when you have an issue with someone, you deal with it face-to-face, man-to-man. Anyone who believes that I intentionally spit at him does not know me — plain and simple.
Despite what Marcus Peters statement revealed, Jarvis Landry doesn’t believe a word of it since he claims he was on the receiving end of things.
Landry said Thursday:
He’s a coward. I think he knew that maybe behind my back he’d do things like that, but to my face, he wouldn’t. … Now I know. Everybody knows the type of player he is, the type of person he is. Wait until I turn around and do something like that? It’s like, do it to my face.
Landry added:
Be a man about it if you’re going to do something like that.
He concluded by saying:
I won’t lose sleep. But definitely going to make it another game to remember.
The Ravens wound up defeating the Browns 47-42 in one of the top games of this NFL season.
