It’s Official! The Dolphins announced on Saturday that defensive end Cameron Wake signed a contract extension that will keep him in South Beach through the 2018!!!

CelebNSports247.com has the official word via The Miami Dolphins feed that Cameron Wake is staying in South Beach through the 2018.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports Wake’s deal is a new two-year contract worth up to $18 million with $11 million guaranteed. Rapoport adds if Wake plays 55% of the snaps over each the next two years, he’ll receive the entire $18M, plus $1M in incentives per year.

That’s a pretty good deal for the 35-year-old defensive end. The Dolphins did some restructing with their players since NFL draft is right around the corner. Earlier this week, the Dolphins released veteran defensive end Mario Williams and defensive tackle Earl Mitchell. But no worries, Miami’s defensive front still has it’s powerhouse duo of Wake and Ndamukong Suh for the foreseeable future.
Cameron Wake’s stats are as follows:
11.5 sacks during the 2016 season.
81.5 in his eight-year career.
