Draymond Green Lands Unique New Media Deal Via Trash-Talking!

That’s right yawl Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green landed a unique deal following Charles Barkley offering his opinion of Green on “Inside The NBA” back in 2020. The three-time NBA champion returned the favor to Barkley…

CelebnSports247.com reports that the humorous exchanges led in 2020 to Green’s agent reaching out to Turner Sports executives to pitch Green as someone who could be great on television.

From there, Draymond Green made multiple appearances on Turner — all well-received — including on-air work during the 2020 Western Conference finals.

Tara August, the senior vice president of talent relations and special projects for Turner Sports and Bleacher Report, told The Athletic last February.

August said:

Draymond has a long, bright future in television…There’s very few players, especially active players, who are as comfortable as he is giving opinion and not being nervous about the fallout, which people might find shocking. When people talk about him on the air, he’s quick to defend himself or call them out. He’s OK with giving criticism and critiques about what he sees about players, teams, coaches, and being comfortable and authentic. He really isn’t trying to go after anyone — he’s just speaking his mind about what he sees, and he’s OK with people agreeing with it or not, much in the same way that Charles has always been. He’s just authentic and comfortable in his own skin and really has a great on camera personality.

Draymond Green will be joining Turner Sports in an exclusive, multi-year deal (yes, he’s still playing). Includes Inside the NBA appearance + other Turner platforms.

There you have it.
