After Jorge Masvidal captured the “BMF” title at UFC 244 in New York Nate Diaz made his voice known about his feeling towards The Rock!
Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran, Nate Diaz, was not a big fan of the way Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was supporting longtime friend Jorge Masvidal.
Although The Rock gets it, he understands Nate Diaz, he says “that is the Nate we all know and love.” Johnson goes on to say that he is NOT upset or bothered by Diaz in any way. Dwayne states that he took a neutral stance in watching the fight, but Diaz still believes that The Rock was supporting longtime friend Jorge Masvidal which is why Diaz threatened to fight The Rock. CelebNSports247.com has the latest interview from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson who laughed off Nate Diaz saying this to Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show.
Here is what Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson said about Nate Diaz threating to fight him:
I wasn’t surprised at Nate’s comments because that’s the Nate that we all know and love. He is as advertised. Nate, he gets it. He knows that me and Jorge we’re boys, we’re from Miami. We have a lot of deep connections down there. A lot of the fighters we know, a lot of the coaches and trainers that we know, a lot of the gyms that we’ve been to down there. So there’s a connection, so no I was totally fine with it. He gets it.
Still unfazed by Diaz, The Rock went on to say:
I went into the fight, I wanted to be as neutral as possible when I was promoting it because as we’re leading up to it and selling it on pay-per-view, I didn’t want to come out and say, ‘Jorge is my boy and he’s gonna win.’ No, I just wanted to be neutral and I thought that was the best, smartest, strategic play to get as many new eyes on this fight as possible and again help impact in my own little way the bottom line. From what I’m told, since UFC’s transition was the biggest fight they’ve ever had, second I’m sorry, to Conor and Khabib, which is quite an amazing accomplishment. I’m very proud of both those guys.
Well, none of that matters to Nate Diaz who lost the bout to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was supporting longtime friend Jorge Masvidal.
Oh no, Nate unleashed his anger about The Rock saying that he was “played”!
Diaz said:
Fk The Rock too, man. That motherfker over here playing me. See him over here smiling with Masvidal. Should have had Mike Tyson handing out a belt if anybody. I don’t give an f–k about any belt anyway, but he can get it too. N—a, he’s on that side, fk him. I’m on the west coast side, Mike Tyson should have been here anyway, he’s the baddest man on the planet, right? He should have been the one over here.
He admitted:
You guys caught me at a bad time. The Rock’s cool, I like Ballers. But he picked the wrong side, he picked the other side so he can get it too. He can get his ass whupped too, straight up. With all due respect, he can get it too.
