Over the weekend Miami Marlins pitcher Edinson Volquez had an impressive no-hitter, the 6th for the Marlins, but Edinson dedicated his no-hitter to his late friend Yordano Ventura.

CelebNSports247.com has the latest from Edinson Volquez who threw a no hitter on his former Kansas City Royals teammate Yordano Ventura’s birthday.

Ventura would have been 26-years-old.

After the game Edinson Volquez during a post interview Yolando Volquez dedicated the game to Ventura and former Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez.

Then Edinson Volquez took to his Instagram to express his feelings:

“Miss you broth HBD to Ace Ventura one love.”

He added:

“That was for you my little broth Ace 30 I can’t do it without god first you and José Fernández and my teammates defense and a lot it credit to my catcher JT realmuto thanks god for this game.”

He posted his 2015 world series ring of which he won alongside Yordano Ventura. His friend may be gone but Edinson Volques will always remember the joy he shared with his friend winning the World Series that year.

He wrote:

“What a good dedication and effort and awesome memories for this baby thanks god.”

Edinson’s tribute goes a little deeper since his brother Brandy Volquez was stabbed to death in the city of Santo Domingo Oeste.

Back in January, Quisqueyanos En Los Deportes reported that a suspect is in custody. Edinson’s brother was involved in a fight with two brothers in the El Cafe de Herrera district. At the time of his brother’s death, Edinson Volquez told CDN:

“I don’t think they were bad people. (Brandy) had a family and it’s shameful what happened last night. I hope justice is served.”

If you recall, Yordano Ventura was killed in a car crash one week after his brother was stabbed to death.
