CelebNSports247.com is shocked to see Darryl Strawberry’s name trending on social media in 2019, but the honors go to former NBA player Stephen Jackson.
Former NBA player Stephen Jackson just ripped Darryl Strawberry for commenting about weed being a gateway drug to TMZ.
See, TMZ had caught up with the former controversial baseball player and asked him thoughts on athletes using marijuana. Of course, Strawberry couldn’t pass up the chance at the spotlight being on him so he wanted to remind people that weed was a gateway drug.
Is it? That is only if you allow it to be.
Anyways the 56-year-old tells TMZ Sports:
Most people don’t understand marijuana is a drug. It’s just the beginning. Starting people off when they’re young and then it leads to everything else.
Strawberry continued:
Most young people start off with marijuana … it’s a gateway. I started with marijuana when I was young — 14, 15 years old — and it led me to everything else.
When asked Darryl if he advocates for any Rx drug for pain management, he replied:
There’s no such thing as pain management for prescription drugs. They’ve gotten totally out of control.
It all sounded legit until Former NBA player Stephen Jackson SLAMMED him on social media in a video calling Strawberry a “coke head.”
808s & Car Shakes grabbed the video reporting:
